Is travel insurance automatically included in my Shalanka tour?+
No. Travel insurance is optional. You can request it while building your tour, and Shalanka will coordinate the insurance request separately from your tour booking.
Which travel insurance can Shalanka help arrange?+
Shalanka can help arrange SLIC General's Adventure Plus tourist insurance when requested, subject to availability, eligibility and final confirmation by the insurer.
What are the main Adventure Plus benefits?+
SLIC General currently lists hospitalisation at eligible private and government hospitals in Sri Lanka, emergency medical evacuation, eligible day-care procedures, adventure activity coverage and personal accident cover among the key benefits.
Who is eligible for Adventure Plus?+
SLIC General currently states eligibility from 6 months to 70 years of age and offers personal, family and group cover options. Final eligibility is always determined by the insurer.
Does adventure activity coverage mean every activity is covered?+
No. Coverage depends on the exact activity and the policy terms, limits and exclusions. The applicable cover should be confirmed before taking part in an activity.
Will I receive the insurance details before it is finalised?+
Yes. The applicable premium, coverage period, benefits, limits, exclusions and insurer terms should be confirmed before the policy is finalised.
How do I request travel insurance with my tour?+
Select “Yes, Include travel insurance” in the Tour Builder. Shalanka will record the request and coordinate the insurance confirmation separately as part of your travel arrangements.
